🔒 Ukraine’s Cyber Shield: Key Takeaways from KICRF 2025
The Kyiv International Cybersecurity Forum (KICRF 2025) brought together leading experts, government officials, and business representatives to address Ukraine’s most pressing digital security challenges — with a central focus on persistent cyberattacks from Russia and Ukraine’s evolving defense strategy.
A key milestone was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ECCC) and Ukraine’s National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity under the National Security and Defense Council. This move strengthens Ukraine’s integration into the European cybersecurity ecosystem.

The forum also featured a hands-on cyber fest, where government employees and private sector participants competed in live infrastructure defense challenges, while ethical hackers were rewarded for discovering real vulnerabilities in a government system. Organizers confirmed that several critical weaknesses were successfully identified and addressed.
Ukrainian tech company FAVBET Tech played a key role in supporting the event. Since 2022, the company has been actively involved in building Ukraine’s cyber defense and training professionals in collaboration with the NGO Cyberpolk.
KICRF 2025 clearly demonstrated that Ukraine is not just holding the cyber front — it’s building a powerful digital coalition, relying on technology, education, and hacker ethics to defend and evolve its digital sovereignty.
