🛰️ $1 Billion from Ripple Co-Founder — Into Space! Haven-1 Launch Set for 2026

Jed McCaleb, a legendary figure in the crypto space and co-founder of Ripple and Mt. Gox, is making headlines again — but this time, his eyes are on the stars, not the blockchain. McCaleb’s company Vast Space is investing $1 billion of personal funds into the development and launch of a private orbital space station, Haven-1, set to fly in May 2026.

The mission will be launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, and is designed to be the first fully private human-rated module in low Earth orbit.

If successful, Vast Space could secure future NASA contracts to replace the aging International Space Station (ISS) — potentially redefining the future of private space infrastructure.

From crypto to cosmos, McCaleb is once again betting on the future — only this time, it’s an off-world endeavor.
