China has successfully tested its ultra-fast maglev train capable of speeds up to 1,000 km/h. The tests took place in Shanxi province, where a two-kilometer vacuum pipeline was specially constructed. The maglev technology (magnetic levitation) allows trains to move almost without friction, significantly increasing their speed and energy efficiency.
This project, developed by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), is an important step toward creating a network of ultra-fast transportation systems that can drastically reduce travel time between major Chinese cities. For example, a trip from Beijing to Shanghai could take only 1.5 hours. The technology combines advances in aerospace and railway transport, highlighting China’s leadership in advanced transportation technologies.
