Aalo Pod: The Nuclear Power Module for the Data Centers of the Future

The American company Aalo Atomics has introduced the Aalo Pod — a compact 50 MW nuclear module specifically designed to power data centers.
The device uses low-enriched uranium (LEU+), does not require an external water supply, and can be installed on an area of less than 2 hectares within a year.

Each Aalo Pod consists of five Aalo-1 microreactors and a single turbine, ensuring high reliability and the ability to scale up to gigawatt-level capacities.
Its modular design allows for refueling without shutting down the entire system and offers flexibility to be deployed next to existing data centers.

The Aalo Pod presents a solution for sustainable and reliable power supply in an era of rapidly growing computational demands, especially with the rise of artificial intelligence and big data.
