Assort Health Raises $50M in Series B at $750M Valuation

U.S.-based startup Assort Health, which develops an AI platform to automate patient communications in specialty clinics, has raised $50 million in a Series B round at a valuation of $750 million. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and comes just four months after the company secured $22 million in its Series A.

Assort Health’s platform uses AI voice agents to handle routine and high-volume tasks traditionally performed by clinic administrators: appointment scheduling, cancellations, and responses to frequently asked questions. This enables medical staff to focus on more complex and sensitive patient interactions.

The market for communication automation in healthcare is growing rapidly. Last week, EliseAI, which offers similar services to healthcare providers and the real estate sector, closed a $250 million Series E round at a $2.2 billion valuation. Earlier this month, Hello Patient raised $20 million in a Series A round led by Scale Venture Partners, reaching a valuation of $100 million.

Investors believe patient communication automation will be one of the next major frontiers for AI in healthcare — alongside medical scribes and data processing tools.

While Assort Health’s revenue remains modest — its annual recurring revenue (ARR) is just over $3 million — its growth trajectory is impressive. Initially focused on orthopedics and physical therapy, the startup has recently expanded into gynecology, dermatology, and dentistry. Fast AI voice responses help clinics reduce patient drop-off due to long waiting times.
