Binance Research: Tokenized Real-World Assets Market Reaches $12 Billion

According to Binance Research, the tokenized real-world assets (RWA) market has hit a record high of $12 billion, with tokenized U.S. treasury bonds being the key growth driver. The surge in interest in these assets in 2024 is attributed to high U.S. interest rates, making treasury bonds particularly attractive to institutional investors.

In 2024 alone, the volume of tokenized treasury bonds grew from $769 million to over $2.2 billion. Major market players such as BlackRock and Franklin Templeton have seen their treasury bond products reach hundreds of millions in market capitalization.

Tokenization also extends to private loans, commodities (especially gold), real estate, and equities, with the trend increasingly reaching other real-world assets. This process significantly simplifies investment and enhances the liquidity of traditionally illiquid assets, making them accessible to a broader range of investors.
