CRM Is No Longer a Dead Archive: Ascendx Cloud Raises €97M to Maximize Customer Data Utilization
In the realm of corporate IT infrastructure, CRM systems are often considered mature, even mundane—think Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics. However, British startup Ascendx Cloud sees it differently: most companies fail to leverage the data they already collect, losing millions at the intersection of sales, marketing, and support.
Ascendx Cloud has now secured €97 million in a new funding round to change this. Investors include Eurazeo, Insight Partners, and Dawn Capital—major players betting that cloud-based CRM is not a relic of the past but the next phase of automation.
What does Ascendx do? Rather than replacing CRM systems, it integrates with existing ones and uses AI to extract behavioral patterns, customer intentions, and “silent signals.” The system aggregates and analyzes fragmented data typically buried in lead comments, email logs, incomplete fields, and deferred tickets.
This data is surfaced, structured, and transformed into actionable insights: identifying customers likely to churn, those ready for upselling, and areas where sales staff waste time. The goal is to turn CRM from an archive into a cognitive business control panel.
The product targets the enterprise segment, with clients already including Vodafone, Aviva, and Siemens. Ascendx promises that its AI not only accelerates work but reduces operational costs by 30–40%, enhancing team efficiency without additional hires.
