Flip — a Startup for the Non-Desk Workforce: €24.7 Million Raised for AI-Driven Communication for the “Invisible” Working Class
When we talk about digital transformation in the workplace, we often picture laptops, Zoom meetings, and Notion dashboards. Yet in Europe, nearly 80% of workers don’t spend their day behind a screen. They’re in logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and retail — the backbone of the economy, yet still largely disconnected from the “digital orbit.” The Stuttgart-based startup Flip is challenging this systemic blind spot.

The company has announced a €24.7 million funding round to scale its AI-powered internal communication platform — a hybrid of WhatsApp, an intranet portal, and a voice assistant. Investors include HV Capital, Notion Capital, Iris Capital, and members of the Salesforce Ventures network.
The concept is simple: Flip transforms corporate messages, instructions, and feedback into an accessible, localized, and user-friendly format for those without company emails or Slack access. Instead of Excel sheets — a voice interface. Instead of bulletin boards — push notifications to smartphones.
The platform’s AI features — from automatic translations and content formatting to engagement analysis — make Flip a highly adaptable and scalable tool, deployable just as effectively in a Bavarian warehouse as in a clinic in southern France. Its client base already includes industry leaders such as Bosch, Porsche, and Rewe Group.
The timing is symbolic: Flip’s funding round coincides with growing debates on “inclusive digitalization” of labor, where AI doesn’t just replace workers — it empowers them to be seen and heard. Perhaps the future of AI in business isn’t only about data science, but also about human respect.
