FUTURUM DIGITAL WATCHDOG — A NEW ERA OF DIGITAL JUSTICE
Editorial Announcement,
June 01, 2026
In May 2025, the international magazine FUTURUM launched an unprecedented project — FUTURUM Digital Watchdog. This is not just an initiative but a fully-fledged institution of the emerging digital democracy and civic oversight, created at the intersection of journalism, law, cybersecurity, and technological ethics.
This project is our response to global challenges: the rapid rise of technological fraud, the crisis of trust in the digital economy, and the lack of effective protection mechanisms for millions of users in Web3 and beyond. FUTURUM Digital Watchdog is the beginning of a new digital culture where honesty becomes an asset, and trust becomes a protocol.
FUTURUM DIGITAL WATCHDOG — YOUR SHIELD IN THE DIGITAL AGE
This project is an interdisciplinary initiative that combines the functions of an independent investigative bureau, an expert human rights platform, and a community of digital activists. Its mission is to create and safeguard a space of digital justice.
OUR MISSION:
To protect the digital space from fraud, manipulation, and violations of user rights. We are building an ecosystem of trust in the era of Web3, the crypto economy, and decentralized platforms.
PROJECT STRUCTURE — TWO PILLARS OF JUSTICE:
The FUTURUM International Bureau of Digital Investigations is the core of the project. It contracts professionals: journalists, cybersecurity experts, white-hat hackers, crypto lawyers, smart contract auditors, and blockchain analysts. The Bureau is engaged in data collection and verification, conducting investigations, and cooperation with international human rights and law enforcement organizations.
The Digital Watchdog Community is an open association for everyone who shares the idea of an honest internet and digital responsibility: professionals, companies, activists, and users.
HOW WE OPERATE:
To ensure transparency and objectivity, FUTURUM Digital Watchdog uses a three-level monitoring system for companies, platforms, and digital assets.
🟢 Green Status: The entity raises no concerns; monitoring is not conducted.
🟡 Yellow Status: The entity is under observation. Preliminary fact-checking is underway; information is limited.
🔴 Red Status: An active investigation is underway. There are substantiated suspicions of violations. Materials are being prepared for publication or submission to competent authorities.
Each entity under monitoring has the right to provide explanations and state its position.
LEGAL FRAMEWORK AND ETHICS:
The activities of FUTURUM Digital Watchdog strictly comply with European and international law:
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation)
DSA/DMA (Digital Services Act / Digital Markets Act)
AMLD5/6 (EU Anti-Money Laundering Directives)
EU Whistleblower Directive
We guarantee the protection of whistleblowers, full confidentiality of data, and compliance with the highest ethical standards.

ASSOCIATION Digital Watchdog Community
THESIS FOR THE MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND PARTICIPATION REGULATIONS
General Membership Framework
The FUTURUM Digital Watchdog Community association is an open voluntary initiative that individuals and legal entities who share the values of digital honesty, transparency, and democratic oversight can join. Membership is an act of self-identification with the project’s goals and involves compliance with the community’s code of ethics. Participation is based on an application and verification of the person’s or organization’s status, with full respect for personal data protection principles under GDPR.
The country of registration, the central headquarters of the association, and its structure will be determined after receiving membership applications and holding the General Assembly on July 12–14, 2025.
Forms of Participation
The association offers several forms of membership:
- Individual participation (digital activists, professionals, journalists, lawyers, researchers)
- Institutional (NGOs, companies, educational and analytical centers)
- Associate (volunteers and temporary participants in investigative missions)
All members have access to the closed information platform, internal newsletters, and the opportunity to participate in projects, research, discussions, and community campaigns.
Interaction Regulations
Members commit to:
— Respect the confidentiality of materials accessed in closed environments.
— Comply with legal and ethical standards when publishing, delegating, or disseminating information.
— Not use community membership status for commercial or political manipulation without approval from the association leadership.
— Provide feedback upon request from the editorial board or investigation team if involved in a relevant case or project.
— In case of participation in expert activities — declare conflicts of interest and maintain objectivity.
Volunteering and Missions
The association encourages volunteer participation — as technical specialists, analysts, translators, coordinators, designers, and more. All volunteer missions are organized on demand or within official campaigns. Participation is logged in the activity register and may be accompanied by the issuance of digital certificates, editorial assignments, recommendations, and the public listing of names in reports, provided this does not violate anonymity and participant consent.
Termination of Membership
Membership may be suspended or terminated at the member’s request or by the decision of the editorial board in case of identified ethical violations, participation in destructive activities, undermining community trust, or violating the regulations. Termination is documented with a notification stating the reasons.
Transparency and Governance
All governance processes in the association are based on principles of open discussion, equal access, and accountability. Key decisions on strategy, investigation topics, publications, and regulatory frameworks — before the founding General Assembly — are made by the FUTURUM editorial board together with active community members. Regular surveys, conferences, open debates, and secure digital voting are possible.
Thus, membership in the FUTURUM Digital Watchdog Community is not only access to unique information and leverage tools but also active participation in building a new digital society where trust, knowledge, and justice become systemic values.
By decision of the community members, the association may be transformed into a non-profit legal entity registered in one of the EU countries. In this case, current members will develop the charter and all regulatory documents for the non-profit organization and publish them in FUTURUM Magazine.
