Google creates multilingual video lectures and podcasts directly from PDFs and links

Google has taken another technological step that changes the approach to education and content. Its tool NotebookLM can now turn any documents — whether PDFs, notes, or presentations — into full-fledged video lectures or podcasts in Russian and in 79 other languages. This is a true breakthrough in the convenience of learning and specialized materials.

You simply upload a file, set a topic — and within minutes the output is a ready AI lecture: with quotes, excerpts from the original, simple slides, and naturally sounding narration. If you need to review the rules of a complex algorithm or refresh theory before an exam, it’s now just a couple of clicks away. And if it’s in podcast format — there are no length restrictions: a smart conversation lasting up to 25 minutes comes together easily and organically.

What truly impresses here is Google’s approach: this is not just video generation “from thin air.” Video Overviews are built strictly on your document — no superficial “general context,” only your words, your slides, your data. And if you’re busy — listen as a podcast. This is not hype, but a productivity tool, especially relevant for education and research. Highly recommended!
