H2SITE Raises €36 Million to Advance the Technology of the Future
Spanish startup H2SITE, a pioneer in hydrogen equipment development, has secured €36 million in investments from an international consortium led by Hy24 and SC Net Zero Ventures. Participants also include major players such as Breakthrough Energy Ventures, ENGIE New Ventures, and Técnicas Reunidas.
The company specializes in membrane reactors that produce hydrogen directly at the point of consumption — whether it’s a factory, power plant, or port. This changes the game by eliminating the need for complex logistics, costly storage, and high transportation expenses.
H2SITE will use the funds to expand equipment production, launch new projects in Europe and Latin America, and scale its membrane-based hydrogen separation technology for commercial use.
As Europe searches for practical ways to accelerate the hydrogen transition, H2SITE’s innovations could become a key component of the new energy infrastructure.
