Halliday Glasses: Smart Glasses with AI and an Invisible Display

At CES 2025, the startup Halliday introduced its innovative smart glasses, Halliday Glasses, featuring a miniature display and a proactive artificial intelligence assistant. The display, called DigiWindow, is embedded in the upper right part of the frame and projects an image equivalent to a 3.5-inch screen, while remaining invisible to others and not obstructing the user’s view. It ensures clarity even in bright sunlight.

The AI assistant analyzes conversations, anticipates user needs, responds to questions, and provides additional information without requiring explicit requests. For example, during a meeting, AI can preemptively answer complex questions, summarize key discussion points, and later generate notes based on the conversation.

For the AI assistant to function, the glasses need to be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Halliday Glasses’ features include: real-time translation in 40 languages, navigation with route guidance, voice note transcription into text, and synchronized lyrics display when listening to music. Users can view and reply to messages, create audio notes, and display text using the teleprompter function.

The glasses can be controlled using voice commands, touch-sensitive panels on the temples, or a special ring with an integrated trackpad. The device weighs only 35 grams, with a battery life ranging from 8 to 12 hours. The absence of a camera is a privacy-focused design choice, which also extends battery life.

Halliday Glasses are available for pre-order at a price range of $399 to $499, with shipments expected by the end of the first quarter of 2025.
