Stability AI has announced the appointment of Prem Akkaraju as its new CEO. The former CEO of visual effects company Weta Digital, an Academy Award-winning film production and visual effects powerhouse, Prem will assume the role of CEO effective immediately and will focus on driving Stability AI’s go-forward strategy.

Stability AI’s models are the #1 most-liked text-to-image models on open-source database Hugging Face. Stable Diffusion, Stability AI’s flagship model, has had over 150M total downloads and has played a foundational role in generating most online AI-generated images.​​​​​​​

Stefan Hoejmose

Job To: Chief Data & AI Officer, ITV Group

ITV has announced Stefan Hoejmose as its new group chief data and AI officer.

Stefan joins the broadcaster from US streaming platform, Roku, where he led the data science and machine learning team. His previous experience includes senior data roles at Dyson, Sky, MediaCom and Lloyds Bank.

Merel Witteveen

Job From: VP Alliances, C3.ai

Job To: COO, C3.ai

Enterprise software company C3.ai has named Merel Witteveen as its interim Chief Operating Officer. She has served as C3.ai’s VP of alliances since November 2022 and been at the company since August 2016 in several roles. Prior to joining C3.ai, Merel worked for consulting firm McKinsey.

David Salvagnini

Job From: Chief Data Officer, NASA

Job To: Chief AI Officer, NASA

NASA has named its first-ever Chief AI Officer (CAIO), marking a pivotal moment in the agency’s history. 

David Salvagnini has been elevated to the position through an expansion of his current role as Chief Data Officer at the federal organisation, underscoring NASA’s interest in harnessing AI for scientific discovery.
