PNDbotics Presents Humanoid Robot Adam with Impressive Hand Dexterity
The Chinese company PNDbotics has unveiled its humanoid robot Adam, highlighting its outstanding hand dexterity and precise upper-body control. Adam is capable of performing complex manipulations such as grasping and rotating tools, demonstrating smooth, human-like movements. These features make it a promising solution for use in manufacturing, logistics, and other fields requiring high precision.
From a technical standpoint, Adam is equipped with 25 direct-drive actuators that deliver high sensitivity and motion accuracy. Its modular design and biomimetic torso provide superior mobility and adaptability. The control system incorporates an Intel i7 processor and PNDbotics’ proprietary PDN network, which ensures real-time communication between components.
For learning movements, Adam utilizes advanced imitation learning algorithms and deep reinforcement learning based on human motion data. This enables the robot to adapt to various tasks and environments, maintaining stable and natural movement even on challenging surfaces.
PNDbotics plans to continue developing Adam, including integrating sensory modules and expanding its functionality for diverse industries. Given its current capabilities, Adam represents a significant step forward in humanoid robotics.
