Sam Altman Confirms: OpenAI Is Already Working on GPT-6

The head of OpenAI announced that the new model will appear much faster than GPT-5 followed GPT-4. The key feature will be memory: the neural network will be able to remember your preferences, communication styles, and even nuances of context in order to adapt to the user.

Altman calls this “the core feature of the future ChatGPT,” but at the same time warns of risks. For now, data is not encrypted, and privacy remains the most controversial issue. The company promises that by default the AI will maintain neutrality, while the user will be able to configure the model for different worldviews and styles.

If OpenAI truly delivers on this, GPT-6 will become not just a tool for work and learning, but a personalized intellectual partner, whose memory will make interaction far more natural — but at the same time bring new challenges in the realm of privacy.
