Chinese company Logon Technology has unveiled the RT-G, an innovative spherical police robot designed to assist law enforcement in crime prevention. This high-speed robot can reach 35 km/h, making it highly effective in chasing down offenders. Additionally, it is equipped with a net-shooting system to immobilize suspects.

One of RT-G’s key features is its ability to operate both on land and water, expanding its potential applications. Weighing 125 kg, the robot can withstand impacts of up to four tons, ensuring durability and reliability in extreme situations.

RT-G is powered by cutting-edge artificial intelligence, allowing it to recognize faces and identify suspects. If necessary, it can autonomously immobilize individuals using non-lethal weapons, such as net launchers. Additionally, it is equipped with tear gas sprayers, grenades, and sound disruption devices, making it a versatile tool for public safety.
Currently, RT-G is undergoing testing in a commercial area of Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. In the future, such robots may be deployed to patrol airports, power plants, and other critical infrastructure sites.
