Starlink Is Growing Faster Than Ever
The Starlink satellite network from SpaceX continues to astonish with its exponential growth. According to the latest data, the service already serves more than 9 million active users in 155 countries and regions—an increase of over 1 million subscribers in just a few weeks after surpassing the 8 million mark.
Such a pace—nearly 21,000 new connections per day—reflects not only the growing global demand for broadband internet, but also Starlink’s ability to rapidly expand its satellite constellation. Today, more than 9,000 satellites are already in low Earth orbit, providing high-speed connectivity even in remote and underserved regions.
Amid accelerating digitalization and growing demand for resilient communications in extreme conditions (emergencies, natural disasters, remote territories), Starlink is transitioning from an experimental internet project to a key element of global communications infrastructure. Moreover, the expanding user base strengthens SpaceX’s overall economic prospects: satellite internet is becoming a potentially largest revenue source for the company, with business valuations approaching trillion-dollar figures in the event of an IPO.
This trend once again confirms that distributed network systems based on small satellites are gradually ceasing to be a niche technology and are becoming mainstream in global internet access.
