Paolo Ardoino, the Chief Technology Officer at Tether, has revealed that the company is on the verge of introducing a new platform designed for the tokenization of assets, which will be supported by USDT. He described the upcoming platform as a “true masterpiece” that will accommodate multiple blockchains and various asset types, including stocks, bonds, and loyalty program points.
During the Token2049 conference set to take place in Dubai on April 19th, Ardoino along with Pavel Durov will unveil a significant announcement. According to posts in the official TON developers and Toncoin cryptocurrency community channel, following their announcement, it’s expected that there will be a groundbreaking real-world application of cryptocurrency that will be available to Telegram’s 900 million monthly active users.
The crypto community commonly uses the term real world assets (RWA) to refer to assets that have been tokenized.
