World Launches Mini-App Platform for Developers

Crypto project World (formerly known as Worldcoin), initiated by Sam Altman, is launching its own App Platform for developers. The goal is to invigorate the ecosystem and expand the use of the World ID digital identifier.

Developers can now create mini-apps within the platform and earn financial rewards — up to $25,000 per week — paid in the project’s own cryptocurrency (WLD). This could become a powerful incentive to launch new use cases and attract a broader audience.

According to the company, the digital identifier is already used by more than 12 million people worldwide, despite privacy concerns, especially in Europe.

World envisions its future as a “super-app,” similar to China’s WeChat, combining payments, communication, documents, and services into a single interface.
