Xpeng Starts Construction of the First Flying Car Factory

Xpeng, one of the leading developers of electric vehicles, has begun building a factory for the mass production of flying cars in Guangzhou, China. The plant will be the world’s first facility capable of producing up to 10,000 flying cars annually, with a total area of approximately 180,000 square meters. The model, named Land Aircraft Carrier (LAC), is a modular minivan with flight capability. It is equipped with three axles and can seat six passengers.

The first public demonstration of the flight is expected in November 2024 at the Zhuhai Airshow. Mass production is set to start in 2026, and Xpeng has already received more than 3,000 pre-orders. This factory will be an important contribution not only for Xpeng but also for the development of the low-orbit technology economy in China, confirmed by the company’s cooperation with local authorities.
